In the drive system of satellites, faultless weld seams ensure that the fuel remains on board. The system of pipelines and components is checked by x-ray beams: An ep mechanical engineering technician thus makes a decisive contribution to maximising the service life of the satellites in space.

Aufgaben des ep Projektingenieurs

    • Bombarding the weld seams of the drive system with x-ray beams in the clean room
    • Inspection and evaluation of the result data on the screen
    • In the event of a fault, decide whether the seam has to be re-welded or the part replaced
    • Documentation of the drive system with regard to use of materials and proof of the state of construction

    – und sein Profil:

      • Mechanical engineering technician
      • Knowledge of MS Office, SAP, English
      • Experience of material technology, production methods such as welding, bonding, mechanical processing etc.
      • Further training in visual inspection stages 1 + 2, radiographic examination (x-ray) stages 1 + 2
      • High level of concentration, high precision and thoroughness, keen perception, a high level of technical understanding even for complex relationships, willingness to travel worldwide
